Moodboard emotions are mystical, cyclical, serene and enigmatic.
Identity sketches consider typography and various logo marks to complement the moodboard.
The sitemap also shows the user experience work-flow.
The Nexus wireframe uses actual shapes and text to give a better sense of hierarchy.
Once a final identity is created, then various mockups can be designed to keep consistent with branding.

Itera
An online, social-networking game for teen girls to post and gift each others' positive sayings so that they can evolve their online avatar. This project was developed from concept to code.

Moodboard emotions are zany, melodramatic, unbelievable, misunderstood and weird.
Wireframes for both the desktop and mobile version.
The identity sketches are always created in black and white first for adaptability to various media.
The final indentity uses basic colors to reflect the core meaning, while the game colors set the stage.
One interface mockup design reflects the mood, but the other keeps the core branding colors.
The final interface leans more toward the mood in order to appeal to the tween audience.
The mobile key mapping explains the user experience work flow.
The final interface takes the design direction from Dr. Seuss.
Fire & Ice
A casual game for tween boys and girls to learn and practice adding positive and negative integers by putting out fireballs with ice cubes. As a casual game, the gameplay is short, simple, but can be played for five minutes or five hours.

The identity typography and colors reflect the stony and ancient feel of the game.
The opening screen indicates who else is waiting to play.
The game interface is flat and solid as a background to the textured pieces.
The dual interface reflects the different screen view for each player.

Fresh Slate Backgammon
A two-player, online Flash version for one of the oldest board games, Backgammon. Click "Launch Project" to view a short video showing how two different versions of the game interact with each other through Flash Media Server.

The idenity sketches give an illusion of movement and curves from straight lines.
The wireframe uses basic shapes to give a better structure for the layout of the mockup.
The Flow Awareness mini-game tests the focus of the player.
The Pong Challenge mini-game brings out the player's competitiveness.
Once the user completes the mini-games, they can create their own License to Switch.
The print collateral keeps the same branding of the project in different media.

A customizable gaming experience for Web Design and Interactive Media (WDIM) students to learn about Sherry Turkle's theories of video games. Another project developed from concept to code.

Legends of Silicon Valley
An online trivia game for technology students to see the human relationships behind the formation of popular computer technology companies in the Silicon Valley Area. This project was created using the MVC design pattern in ActionScript 3.0.

Bleepity Bleep
An online resource for teens and tweens to submit and search for alternatives to curse words so that they can be creative with their feelings. The site was a "pet project" created from concept to code.

Gallery Pong
A variation of the game Pong in which players can increase their score and the speed of the ball by viewing different photos as the background to the game.

Moodboard emotions are self-indulgent, whimsical, sultry, and daring.
The new identity has a hidden tail in the typography while the colors are taken from the existing green.
The wireframes for the homepage and the product page use different shades of gray to show a hierarchy.
Design elements are used to create the texture relevant to the emotions of the site.
The interface mockups show the bright design of a shopping experience and darker side of the Plush Cat brand.

Plush Cat Style
An online clothing store that sells casual clothing for plus-size women to wear at parties, outings and dates. The store layout and design was customized straight from the basic Magento theme.

An online calendar of culturally diverse events in the Greater Los Angeles area. This project was a rebranding of an existing site, which included print and web marketing of various sizes and formats.

A portfolio site showcasing the talents of photo stylist Reah Norman so that she can find more contract work. The site was designed from an existing identity, and the photo gallery uses hand-coded Javascript.
